Cultural Dances From The Various Ethnic Groups

Like other Asian countries which are culturally rich, the Burmese are the most brutalized people by the military regime. Living in fear for decades, many had to save themselves by becoming refugees.

Bringing with them their ethnic culture to foreign countries, their love for their motherland is very much embedded in their hearts. Caught between the devil and the deep blue sea, they still cry for the release of Aung San Suu Kyi, who is their hope for generations to come.

World Refugee Day - 2009

World Refugee Day – 20 June 2009 was a fanfare to the various ethnic Burmese. Their rich cultures displayed through their cultural dances are undoubtedly the enjoyable day for them and the locals.

Their respective leaders from the different ethnic groups give their welcoming speeches.

Our local NGOs make themselves felt to give them the much needed moral support.

More to come.
