Citizen Journalists In The Making

The third floor of malaysiakini office was bustling with life when the eighteen participants arrived.

With a passion wanting to be qualified as citizen journalists, they have the privilege to be under the tutorial of Vanitha Nadaraj who has been in journalism for the past 15 years.

Irrespective of age and gender, this final batch of participants looked set to tell their stories in any genre.

Lunch and coffee break gave the participants more time to congregate as well.

Effective 26 Sept (on every Saturday and Sunday) until 01 November, they will be taught about; Citizen Journalism, Video Story Telling and Script Writing, Video Camera Handling and Video Editing.

Walla! All young “chicks” will be hatched by then to share with the world what it takes to be a citizen journalist.
Back to class for more assignments and discussions before calling it a day.

Look at him! Young and vibrant, and don't let his smile deceive you. He has good ground experiences and interesting stories to tell as well.
