The Burmese people or Myanmars (as the Junta wants to be known for the Burmese) are refugees in our country.Today’s hearing into Gunasekaran’s inquest saw the police officers giving their testimony. Their body language was the tell-tale signs of discomfort when questioned by lawyer Visvanathan.
Out of the blues and to the surprise of many, Visvanathan asked the coroner for the locus in quo (to visit the place where the cause of action arose) wanting to ascertain what had actually taken place, because the photos given by the police are vague.
The coroner granted the request.
A warrant of arrest was issued for the absence of the arresting officer who was not in court this morning. The inquest was adjourned to tomorrow at 9.00 a.m.

We are living in a chaotic world where we the people allow the rich and powerful to steal from us, the nation’s wealth, and the people’s self-respect yet we are willing to say nothing about it. We prefer to depend on others to fight the cause and choose to be the judge, jury and executioner in our own comfort zone.

The forum at MBPJ Civic Centre on the 09 November 2009 saw MB Nizar, Prof. Dato Shaad and Constitutional lawyer Tommy Thomas presenting their views on the "hostile takeover" of the Perak government.Look at what he was doing would make you think twice to buy anything to eat at this "mamak" shop. He became conscious when he saw my video camera but unaware that I was recording his unhygienic way of packing the "papadum" but not him. Why unaware? It is his dirty habit that's why!
Wanting to open the plastic bag, he blew into it and walla! Then, he conveniently packed the pieces into the plastic bag. Just imagine his saliva and the amount of bacteria he had added to make what you are going to eat with the "extra flavour" coated with sugar, spice and everything nice!
This drawing was sent to me by Anthony Phun. Do not just look at the drawing but decipher the fine lines. You will see images as well.
Christmas is approaching and the magic is in the air. As usual, One Utama puts up the deco of the well-celebrated Christmas. The gutsy stunt in the air.

Not knowing the choices available, we boarded whichever available and ended with a converted ferry from a trawler. It took one hour-journey to our destination while the other took half the time.
The advantages are the open view and the strong breeze with good view from both sides for photography. The disadvantages are the deafening noise from the roaring engine and slow pace skimming over the choppy sea.
In the rocky trawler-ferry on the way to Pulau Ketam, this couple with their young infant caught my attention.
The residents of Pulau Ketam lead a mundane life with a population of 8000 is made up of Chinese from the “Teochew”, “Hokkien”and “Hainanese” speaking clans. No wonder the younger generation have made their ways out to the mainland to look for greener pastures.
The houses are all built on stilt above the mangrove swamps now occupied by about half the populace.
From 1960's to 1970's, post office, primary school and the other basic facilities sprouted in this island as well. Today, a secondary school has become a reality.
In 1991, the new jetty was ready for use, and pipe water was supplied from the mainland by the state government.
The major activities were catching crabs, fishes and prawns.
The trumpet blows for the ceremony to start, but in a tame affair. The crowd is expected to be overwhelming, but a handful that could be counted.
The ceremony starts without much fanfare under a watchful eye of an Indian Special Branch officer hanging around like a sore thumb. With due respect, we take our leave by 11.00 a.m. heading to Port Klang.
The family knew about their father’s demise a day later, and was told to collect his body at the mortuary of University Hospital.
This photo (taken inside the Black Maria), holds a special memory for the 23 people detained on the 9th of November 2008.
This morning saw YB Lim Kit Siang's presence to show support.
The post-mortem would be carried out by forensic pathologist Dr Shahidan Md Noor.
Teoh Beng Hock's remains to be exhumed on Nov 21 and the second-post mortem to be conducted on Nov 22 at the Sungai Buloh Hospital.
It is not difficult to comprehend a mother's love for her children but it is very difficult to feel how a mother feels to have lost her son.
Holding the portrait of her beloved son is the feel she could only ask for, like cuddling "him" as a baby in reminiscence.
It is a cruel world we are living in and only with love and faith that we could live for another day.
Dancing is a sure way of exercising and is also a form of communication that you could feel the vibes flowing through the body.
Irrespective of age and gender, why not learn to dance like there is no tomorrow? Dancing is a great stress reliever that makes you feel good and this is where it gives you the most out of life!

It was not a surprise to see newsmakers outnumbered the supporters (from both sides of the divide) at the Palace of Justice this morning.
The MB vs MB case to determine the rightful "Mentri Besar" of the state of Perak had lost its impact because the people who support Barisan know of their "sure win" and those who support Pakatan know of the outcome.
The best solution is to go for the state by-election for the Perakians to decide once and for all who should be their choice of mentri besar. However, it is seasier said than done!
Not only Perakians but also Malaysians are fed-up with what is happening in Perak. It is up to the federal government to use its wisdom to hear the people out in order to save Malaysia from further embarrassment!
I caught up with YB Nga Kor Ming of P60-Taiping to hear his views over the MB vs MB case in the Palace of Justice this afternoon.
