There are four good Samaritans who helped the family through rough times by providing financial aids. With the help of YB Elizabeth Wong, she is helping the eldest son, Yanam, in his tertiary education.
There are many kind-hearted Malaysians who want to help and can help in whatever ways. Please continue to do so.
When the bread winner of the family is cruelly removed from the family (in whatever situations) it is always those who are left behind have to suffer. What more, when the school going children become uncertain what to come next
If the society refuses to lend a hand, chances are that the young children are left to fend for themselves, and perhaps walk into the open arms of social crimes.
Yanam, now works as a promoter and walks to work some three kilometers away to save on the bus fares. He takes his breakfast at home and returned for dinner, and most of the days he has to skip his lunch.
His fortitude lies in his perseverance because he knows too well that his mother and younger siblings depend on him and another sister who works as well.
Yanam needs the education to help him make good in life. Whatever the future lies in him and his family depends on how the society can play a role to help a little. Deprivation in whatever situation is very painful, and this is where caring Malaysians can play a role to say - we care!
Note: A featured documentary on this case is in the making and will be available soon.
