Exhuming The Truth

The events that had taken place in Hulu Selangor by-election cannot be incinerated just like any other past by-elections. We are seeing totalitarian regimes hang onto power by fear and when anything does not work to their favour, they resort to corruption.

From the tenure of the previous prime minister, the modus operandi to suppress the truth remains. Today, we still see the fear the government has, to admit who is responsible for what.

The truth is important because it affects our lives intimately and collectively as a nation but the leaders we have do not adhere to this view. When situation does not allow us to trust anyone anymore, then we have to demand for the answer by exercising that right by being a registered voter and cast that right in the ballot box.

When will the day be when we can rely solely on the mainstream media for unbiased information? We know that the mainstream media is not honourable or brave enough to give us unbiased information.

Perhaps I have spoken too quickly. Judging from what Joshua Wong (NTV7) and Chou Z Lam (RTM 2) being intimidated, there is still a hope for the mainstream media to redeem its trust to the people. However, “two” swallows do not make a summer but their act of defiance is indeed honourable.

With the government clamping down on freedom of speech by unwarranted interference, we are actually losing our freedom and privacy. This has become our biggest threat.

What stories the government is going to spin and expecting the public to hear are over because the filths are too huge to substantiate the truth what more to the known scandals.

There are many gutless politicians elected by the people have failed miserable. They hold on to power and too afraid to speak out by playing the dumb game. The worse of the pack are those who are willing to bite the hands that feed them by jumping ship at the scheduled time. Such politicians may have too many dark secrets so to speak and have to remain servile.

This is how such politicians started their careers after the 2008 general election. They are the politicians who have helped corrupt our nation and are willing graduates of betrayal to their party and electorates, come what may, just to save their own skin.

The coming Sibu by-election will face with the same predicament. So, the first thing we need to consider is which news source is reporting whatever lies and whether they have reported them truthfully or put their own spin on them.

In reality, SPR is carrying the big stick and is not afraid to use it on the Opposition but very accommodating to their master. The expected level playing field will never see its day for it has turned into a mud patch.

We are seeing the dark art has taken on a more sinister dimension. The act beyond its rightful power that do injury to liberty, justice and individual rights over the people it supposed to protect is made evident of a corrupt government.

We are not powerless and should not allow the government to act wrongfully against us. By knowing how far the government has strayed, it is the “number” that counts to send the message that we have enough of it.

In the coming Sibu by-election - lead the change is the appropriate battle cry. We should see at least eighty percent (42,943) turnout against the last recorded sixty-seven percent (36,379) out of the 53,679 registered voters in the coming showdown.

Is eighty percent a far-fetched figure or otherwise, it is the ideal yardstick to give a clear indication what the people want. Change is at the doorstep and it depends on how responsive the electorates are going to be.

Our election history has proven this beyond a shadow of doubt that “numbers” is the benchmark for the edge.

Say what you like but remember - the change is just over the hill.

What Has Become Of Our Society

I have to qualify myself from all prejudices when writing this article. Reflexology is a well-known therapy that helps the body to do its own healing.

However, the authenticity of such health business is doubted where unscrupulous operators have brought a bad name to this industry.

Just take a ride around any new township and you will never miss the emergence of foot reflexology, promulgating health services.

Karaoke lounges stand sedentary decorated with faint multi-coloured lights have their days numbered. They have lost their appeal to the new breed of so called “health seekers” flocking surreptitiously to such avenue for their salacious journey into the forbidden world to satisfy their lecherous desires.

Thanks to the “China Dolls” who have landed on our shores to bring a world of new adventure for men to explore a new horizon of sexual escapade. “Health seekers” my foot, it is all about sexual indulgence to be precise!

Well, our debate could go on and over again with same old tune sang to please oneself. Jug after jug of beer is flowing like a cascading waterfall and as usual one “drink-too-many” syndrome ruled the evening. That was what I was hoping for to hear their tales of their cheating ways.

The blessing is that I am allergic to alcohol, and glass after glass of coke on the rock kept me sane enough to be amused by their high-octane adventures with traces of hilarity.

Man is promiscuous by nature. I wonder are there ways for women to keep their men from cheating on them? Of course there are, but man is one step ahead most of the time except for those “dumbos” who are literally caught with their pants down.

In this contemporary, catching one’s spouse (especially man) for cheating is merely a waste of effort. It is unlike yesteryears where the look out signs to catch infidelity through her spouse’s demeanour, sudden change in grooming, the tell-tale smell of perfume and his excuses for coming home late, and thanks to reflexology, it has significantly reduced the level of suspicion.

China dolls and with no string attached, is the best great escape from any suspicion for infidelity.

For the worst case scenario when confronted or seen emerging from such “paradise” one can easily substantiate his innocence by claiming foot massage, yeah – foot massage that is, my foot!

For some, they can afford to “own” a sweet young thing to satisfy their sexual gratifications. And to be in the trendy mode of rent-a-wife scheme, this has become a dangerous trend to break marriages.

The danger lies in obsession deriving from sexual fantasy and such compulsive sexual behaviour seems to be morally accepted sexual norm that is wantonly displayed in public because no one questions its legality.

Sometimes people find themselves in periodic situations where they discover that they are sexually attracted to the opposite gender. When the obsessive desire for the person grows beyond the boundary of sanity, then the libido will go awry.

What about women whose spouses who go under the pretext of seeking foot massage but with a hidden agenda are known to them?

Then the knots of trusts are broken which threaten the institution of marriage to be smashed asunder. The sensible women will not risk the future of their children and choose to live with it silently, but the capable women without financial constraints will choose otherwise – as single parent.

Children from single parent will become more difficult to up-bring and the toll on the mother will become more unbearable. She has her career to look after, her children to nurture and her own sexual needs to be appeased.

Sex is never pre-planned, an innocent hug with teases seem to be the norm but what the eyes see and how the body feels will remain hidden. When the willing body responds to trigger the drifting pleasure on the other, the inevitable sexual feelings will pirouette with the sensational thrills to pamper the libido.

Say what you like, the age-old taboo is never thought to happen even when there is a chance of being discovered, yet it cuts through the taboo to the core.

Sex among willing adults will never be felt wrong. What people do within the four walls is meant to be private even sinfully indulged between two willing partners. In any situation of a person’s life that falls into such unfortunate category, the unforgiving sexual gratifications will even supersede the tenacious beliefs of any God fearing individuals.

Come what may, when libido must be appeased, what the eyes see, the mind will desire the impeccably crafted anatomy. The physical attraction will cloud the mind and lead to the threshold of more daring attempts for physical contacts will inevitably make the body speaks with only one language – Sex.

In this fast changing society where environment changes people’s outlook and behaviour about sex, no matter in what disguises, is frightening indeed. It is a game played by two willing individuals and the risk of being caught is the additional element in the excitement to thrill the libido or is it for one’s needs?

Be it infidelity or extra-marital affair that is commonly indulged by cheating partners, it comes from various situations especially when opportunities prevail.

Such illicit indulgence will keep sailing into the uncharted waters of sexual gratifications and with men piloting the ship, reflexology outlets in disguise will stay perennial.

Excitement Should Go With Precaution

The first of May is around the corner and the anxiety begins for those who are going to participate in the peaceful gathering for the GST Protest.

The various NGOs and political body are going to make their presence felt. Through the grapevines, it seems that the crowd could be huge.

In the event of the inevitable to come, it is better to get ready to protect yourself and your equipment.

Lets turn back the pages of time and see for yourself what I mean.

The four short clips were from a peaceful protest by the Iranian students on the 16 June 2009 at Damansara. It was a protest against the election of their president back home.

Unexpectedly, a peaceful event had turned ugly. Why?

The following clips were recorded on 01 August 2009 during the Anti-ISA Protest in the vicinity of Sogo at Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, and the other at Jalan Raja Laut.

As expected the police will come on hard on the peaceful protesters. Why?

For precautionary purposes, we have to be well-prepared. Check out the followings.

1. Do not wash your face with water when affected by teargas. Get someone to blow cigarette smoke onto your face.

2. When gasping for air, quickly put in a few grains of salt into the mouth to taste.

3. When the water canon is about to spray (usually chemical laced) quickly cover your equipment with a disposable raincoat (cost RM 2.50 at 7-Eleven outlet) including yourself.

4. Then take shelter at any available place to protect yourself.

5. The safer place is to follow the FRU officers from behind. But action is limited.

6. Come home in one piece.

Are You Sure?

When I posted my projected win of 90 – 1500 majority for Zaid Ibrahim, many of my friends said that the figures are under-estimated.

Yes, Zaid surpasses his counterpart in many aspects, be it in personality, academic qualifications and principle which harness the expected quintessence that is required of by a member of parliament. So, he deserves more!

My answer is very simple. What the numbers will be for his majority, just times by seventy per cent and that should be the appropriate majority.

Perception differs from one person to another but the fact remains that the seventy per cent is the Houdini act.

I am not going to twist my words nor am I going to feel sorry for the “wrong” forecast. I stand by my perception – before, now and then! I am not going to say, let the best man win. The winner is not the best man after all neither the Hulu Selangorians’ choice!

What Sibu holds for the Sarawakians? It will be the same old tune to fight buy-election!

8-2 In The Making

The time is up for “ceramah” and comes Sunday – the threshold for the wind of change to blow will be the historical day for all eligible voters in Hulu Selangor to cross the Rubicon.

The news spread far and wide about the overwhelming crowd (close to fifteen-thousand strong) of Pakatan Rakyat supporters inside and outside the Kuala Kubu Baru mini-stadium could not be wrong about the victory to be.

It does not matter anymore what the majority will be as long as the sweet smell of victory fills the air by Sunday night.

The next stop – Sibu Sarawak here we come!

Zaid Ibrahim Is The Man

Projected Result – Hulu Selangor By-Election 2010

All the previous by-elections saw the distinct desperation from BN wanting to win. In their do or die heave for the final push, everything goes in Hulu Selangor!

The win in this by-election in Hulu Selangor plays a vital role and a yardstick to project the chances from the two sides in the coming Sibu by-election for an anticipated edge.

Judging from the demeanour of the voters, they definitely have their mind made up whom they want to represent them in parliament.

In such chessboard of political game, PR has played along well by turning the table around and the advantages become obvious to garner for sympathy votes.

The BN choice of Kamal or Alan or Nathan or Appu is the wrong choice indeed! But with the goodies given and all the promises to come, Kamal will not be thrashed brutally by the voters in his constituency.

Which way will the wind blow? The “ceramah” tonight will provide the additional “punch” to cement the choice for tomorrow’s D-Day!

Say what you like, it is going to be a clear cut result for PR to retain the Hulu Selangor parliamentary seat.

What Najib Has Done

On the 17 April 2010 in Kuala Kubu Baru, the Pakatan Rakyat supporters heard for the first time about the truth of Najib’s overseas trip.

A new breed of Members of Parliament starts to emerge without fear or favour to tell the citizens of Malaysia what are happening in the country are lauded for their quintessence, and one of them is Dr.Hatta.

It is really a frightening piece of information to realise how the country is steered and to what direction.

Hindraf Protest - Court Hearing

In Duta Court this morning, 20 April 2010., the peaceful protest organized by Hindraf two years ago, we see the remaining twenty-three out of sixty-four arrested refused to plead guilty.

The forty-one were with Hobson’s choice but to plead guilty under duress of work or financial constraints to attend the unending court hearing.

YB M.Manogaran the Menber of Parliament of Teluk Intan took up the case pro bono.

Mishap

The unexpected happens at the least expected moment. Reckless driving by ignoring traffic rules has a price to pay, and it is lucky if no serious injury is befallen on the driver.

The question is, what if such mishap turns out to be fatal when someone is hit? I dread to think for the unfortunate victim.

Mishaps do not happen by themselves because there must be a cause. Who to blame then?

Come What May

A lesson was learnt from Bagan Pinang by-election. The danger was all about the events that cropped up before the by-election. It is unnecessary to mention what the events were about.

And for Bagan Pinang, we witnessed the controversies within PR and this had caused disillusioned from the supporters. This is the opinion from those who followed the political developments closely.

Hulu Selangor by-election makes no difference. Judging from the reactions of the people, it is rather surprising that the man on the street have become aware that they have been shortchanged. Until this point of time, the Selangor government has done a good job to keep to their people first slogan. This is the evident proof that is not easy to break the people’s trust they have for the Selangor government.

If there is a level playing field to capture the Hulu Selangor parliamentary seat, PR can easily win by at least a thousand votes majority. They are going into the second day for “ceramah” and the silver lining for PR has become clearer.

The outcome of the coming Sibu by-election depends very much on the result from Hulu Selangor which is the yardstick to determine the chances of winning then. So, by hook or by crook, the bashing on one’s opponent will be the name of the game.

If this is going to be the strategy, then the disadvantages prevail. It is obvious to see how the electorates respond to what were disseminated to them in the “ceramahs” – they want facts not rhetorical excitements.

To substantiate this argument, certain speakers hold the key to command the crowd. It is the crowd that determines what they want to hear and from which reliable personality.

It is for sure that the staunch supporters will stand by their party through thick and thin. What about the fence-sitters, do they need more convincing? Definitely! The push to make them realised what they can benefit from the “change” is the ultimate selling point.

There are certain safe areas for the both sides and they should not be taken for granted. The most effective way is to make the electorates pass the message through the grapevines where the influence factors will surpass the effects of the “ceramahs”.

As each day passes by, the excitement fluctuates with the sentiments of the people. Anger could be felt from each “ceramah” and this is the potent message that must be sustainable to keep the momentum until the polling day.

All Well That Ends Well

Not only the Pakatan Rakyat bigwigs were in jubilant mood but also the supporters who were hanging around until the end.

Judging from the crowd of both sides, more than eighty percent was not local.

The crowd broke off leaving the people of Kuala Kubu Baru town to their normal life from the din of enthusiasm.

A group of “orang asli” gathered for a breather under a shady corner after playing their role to support their chosen political party.

It was a long walk to their cars for many, some one kilometer away to head for home.

Hulu Selangor Nomination

It is confirmed to be a four-corner fight at Hulu Selangor parliamentary seat.

The candidates are P Kamalanathan, Zaid Ibrahim and two independents, S. Chandran and Johan Mohd Diah.

The supporters from the two sides were huge in numbers (close to four thousand at each side) and as usual, the Pakatan supporters were livelier.

Having Some Fun

It's party time for Pakatan Rakyat supporters. What is better than than to dance in the street.

Who Call The Shots

American Pie

Clip: Angela Ooi

Let The Show Begins

The candidates from the both political sides for the by-election are now officially known to be the candidates for the Hulu Selangor constituency. What comes next? The battle of the wits and dirty linens hanging to dry in the moonlight will be the excitements in the “ceramahs”.

Campaigning against corruption and the erosion of civil liberties are the worthy pursuit in the Hulu Selangor by-election. The 7-2 victory in favour of Pakatan Rakyat could see the 8-2 score easily even with a thin majority. This is perceived by most hopefuls around the country, but it is yet to be a tested theory if it is applicable in Hulu Selangor.

Pakatan Rakyat is armed to the teeth and will definitely use the spotlight of this by-election to show their seriousness they take the problems to heart of this constituency.

Can PR machinery deliver the message to BN hardcore what is meant by corruption? Why should they think in the same line when they literally could hardly understand how corruption comes about?

The word corruption is too academic to them, not because they are illiterates but because they could not feel the impact it can create. Corruption can be easily interpreted as the rising cost of living without an iota to the knowledge how it derives.

Anyone can scream corruption till the cows come home in the nightly “ceramah” but the effect will remain lukewarm. Take for example, the DPM dares to openly declare that he is “Malay First” despite the grand promulgation of 1Malaysia, yet we see Indians and Chinese around him could accept with an open-heart!

When any community feels they have been neglected, money will fall from the sky for a total whitewash! This is the vivid display of corruption where people will submissively accept without any further ado. I will not say anything negative about these people because we have to understand their lifestyle and the way they think is unlike the urbanites.

Pakatan Rakyat does not have the privilege to make money falls from the sky, but has the personalities with quintessence to deliver the message why there should be a change. Instead of rhetoric in the nightly “ceramahs” which is a norm in the political sense, the educating process is equally imperative to deliver the message about what is really happening in the country.

It is not easy to gauge the people’s choice but it is with a positive sign that a narrow margin for victory is there for Pakatan Rakyat.

If the electorates fail to take this opportunity to be awaken from the Barisan Government for its greed and tribal devotion in enriching itself and its cronies, then Hulu Selangorians should blame themselves for their own folly.

PR Official Announcement

The by-election fever is on in Hulu Selangor seeing Pakatan’s choice for Zaid Ibrahim as the candidate. This has thrown Barisan into turmoil by the “unexpected” move to retain the Hulu Selangor parliamentary seat.

No matter who is the chosen candidate, the bottom line is – delivery. When the candidate is perceived by the electorates as their trustworthy representative who is there to hear their grouses will be the victorious candidate. This sentiment is made by Pak Samad, a local who seem pleased by what he heard and seen in the official announcement of Pakatan’s candidacy last night.

The estimated turnout at Serendah community hall was close to five thousand curious crowds. The mood is similar to all by-election campaigns where people from all walks of life will converge to make their presence felt. As a caution, the crowd size may not translate the acceptance.

Last night made no difference where Chinese and Indians were approximately at the headcount of thirty to thirty-five percent strong. Was it because of the coming by-election or was it because Zaid Ibrahim who is going to be their representative?

Ah Meng (as what he wanted to be called) said that he came out of curiosity and when pressed further, he admitted he was all for Zaid Ibrahim. However, an Indian gentleman refused to be identified, had no preference as long as the person who deserved his vote should be fair to those who are struggling for a living.

The woman folks shied away citing no comments and by respecting their decisions is better than to put words into their mouths, I guess.

When Barisan Nasional announces its candidacy this Thursday (15 April), then all political enthusiasts will be at their drawing board to figure out what the outcome will be.

It is difficult for Barisan Nasional to name its right candidate in this between the devil and deep blue sea syndrome. Are they going to create another “shocker” to field the ex-mentri besar like what had proven fruitful in Bagan Pinang?

17 April is just around the corner and the expected mammoth crowd could be more than what was seen in the last Bagan Pinang by-election. Perhaps, this is going to be the unprecedented experience for Kuala Kubu Baru folks to see the sudden influx of “outsiders” to transform their peaceful town into a fairyland!

Pornthip – Not Coming

The following statement disturbs me greatly in the name of justice and fairness.

According to her, the Thai Foreign Ministry had received “signals” from the Malaysian government through “informal channels” suggesting that her presence at the inquest later this month would not be welcomed.

This does not necessary mean that it is true because what had transpired was through informal channel. However, in Malaysia, rumours usually turn out to be a disguise for the truth, what more to the “informal channel”.

I would like to keep what I am thinking with a tinge of hope that the Home Ministry will say it with pride- “This is rubbish, Pornthip is coming!”

At this point of writing, I felt for YB Gobind Singh Deo because he believes in his colleagues form the law fraternity, judiciary, police and the Home Ministry to do the correct thing.

Power of the Arm

Lift your arm high when the needs arise and this is the very arm that is the symbol of your conviction, no matter to what the cause you are fighting for!

Social Injustice – the dreaded words have become the common cry of those been deprived. The worst of its kind is to silent the voice of the people by any government.

Around the world, we know that any government can ignore one person or one group, but they cannot ignore when more and more people are speaking out on critical issues.

With this very arm, people will stretch it high for the call to respect the people’s right, which is in a dire need.

It will be a great feeling when you arm is lifted by another and clasped together which symbolizes the arms of brotherhood. Together to lean on each other against adversities, the cohesiveness is perennial and to remain steadfast.

The arm that holds the light is not a lonely arm but the arm of freedom to shine for those who chose to be blind. The power within can strike the silent fear to the mighty power of injustice. With just an arm to hold a lit candle, it is akin to the truth of constant dripping that wears a stone.

A single arm raised with confidence is to harness courage. This is the arm that wants to be seen punching through the air without fear. No giant stands forever! Like David who brought down goliath with a slingshot swung with his arm.

In many Asian countries, people are outraged and take to the streets even those for the first time, to protest against their government for any injustice. Such protests are their last straw that can escalate into mammoth numbers to put the government to its knees.

Shouting slogans is incomplete without the arms raised together with the message. The deafening roar in any protest can send shivers down one’s spine, what more when it is done with the arms?

What You Say Is Who You Are

Now it looks like truth is no longer anchored in how one truly thinks it should be, but how it is used as a tool to spin with hidden agenda. This is the gambit that is appropriately referred to Zaini Hassan, a senior editor and columnist Dr Ridhuan Tee Abdullah of Utusan.

If one looks inside what really goes on in Malaysian politics, many politicians have unfairly misled the people far too long into believing what they have said.

Mainstream and portal media are often accused by politicians for misquoting them. The readers can judge for themselves any outright disingenuous message – which is synonymous to as lies!

Will Zaini Hassan and Dr.Ridhuan cry out loud tomorrow that they were misquoted? If so, then search yourself what has gone wrong and if otherwise, please flock with the unethical politicians. You should have the courage to be honest instead of spinning for those “you know better” than putting the blame on Malaysiakini.

You should look into what controversies you have written and said before resulting in a barrage of disapprovals and altercations, and for that reason, people are attuned to what is going on and are paying attention like never before about what you are uttering.

By merely allowing yourself to be used as a tool, you have brought shame to journalism or perhaps by doing so it pays even greater dividends.

Many a time when I write, and for journalistic reason, I purvey the truth with a balanced argument. When I am not sure about specific details, I don’t want to feel guilty for telling someone the wrong thing. Are you in this league?

The only aspect I can blame Malaysiakini is none other than telling the truth! And for this very reason, I feel proud for what Malaysiakini stands for and I am proud to sign my name to this article.

No Child Is Too Ugly, No Parent Is Too Poor

I was having lunch with my wife in SS2 Petaling Jaya (5th. April), I told my wife to observe an elderly couple sitting a few tables away. They are in their late sixties, and a loving couple indeed - loving in the sense that they showed their concern for each other.

We were supposed to leave but decided to stay a little longer and to leave after them.

When we walked to the car park, I saw them standing in the hot sun trying to stop a taxi but in vain. My wife agreed that we gave them a lift if they were on our way.

They were delighted by our offer and for a moment I thought I had made a great mistake. They started to tell us their story until we reached their house.

They insisted that my wife and I should come in for a cup of tea and reluctantly we obliged.

It was a double-story terrace in a respected residential area which is actually out of our way home. The first thing that struck me was to write about them to which my wife kept reminding me to be sensitive about people’s life.

I asked and they obliged except that I should keep certain privacy and where they are staying. I think I had given my wife my best cynical smile how my “charm” could work on people.

Along our way home, I began to recall what I had read about parents and their children staying apart. I remembered one particular fantastic piece and was inspired by it.

Now, I am writing in my own way to tell you this touching story about this couple living together in their golden years. I hope you will enjoy it.

My child, your mother and I now live a comfortable life and we cherish all the happy years we shared together. Now you all have grown up to lead your own life and this has become a blessing to us.

When you were born I remembered how I rushed to the hospital without my denture. Your mother had hardly recovered from her birth pain was amused to see how excited I was. But then, you were just a baby to know that you were born into a family where luxury was not there to welcome you.

You came into our lives, a gift from above to cherish and love. Each day was a joy for us to treasure and to see you grow. Your smile and little frame moved our world. We had no complaints when you lay awake the moment we want to sleep. Your mother had to pat and coax you to sleep while her own eyes were heavy looking after you the whole day. She fell asleep not realizing that you still want to play.

I hated myself because I could not afford a babysitter but your mother had no complaints because she had you.

We know the reasons why you chose not to stay because we have become too grumpy. Not only we don’t see you often but also we have become strangers to our own grandchildren. Perhaps I have forgotten how to hold a baby but do you know my arms still remember?

Sometimes your mother would stand beside your empty bed and I pretended not to take notice. Your empty bed has so many fond memories to us.

Yes, I grumbled about your late nights and you took me for a pest. You could not remember the same way you grumbled when I refused to buy you toys because I don’t have the money.

Only if you have the time to listen then you will understand what I have to say. But time is the enemy that has made us fall apart.

If only you have a little patience, I could slowly remember what I have forgotten to do. And could you remember what you had forgotten to take to school and I had to rush it for you?

You called me names and that was cruel. I gave you a pet name because you are precious.

You stopped me from driving and sold my car so afraid that I might hurt myself. But you have forgotten how I held you in my arms with an umbrella over our heads. I wanted to keep you dry and I was drenched waist down.

I laid in front of the television inadvertently fell asleep and you rudely awaken me with your string of complaints. But you did not know I could hardly stay awake waiting for you to walk in the door.

Years had swiftly past by leaving your mother and me to keep each other safe. We have learnt to live in our own surreal world with a fervent hope to see you walk in with our grandchildren.

Perhaps you are too ashamed of us but your mother is still so protective of your long absence by keep kidding herself that you are busy. Are you?

By growing old, we have become a nuisance to ourselves. Senility has not overwhelmed us yet, except for our slow movements to get things done. You could not remember our patience when you started to learn how to recognize the alphabets, could you?

I wish for your mother to leave first than me. Again you will be annoyed by what I have said. I may be heartless but I am practical. I may be selfish but I am open-minded. If I leave first then who is going to look after her? All the memories will be too excruciating for her to rekindle.

The house will be empty when we are gone. I don’t want each day you wake up and blame yourself for knowing us too little for too long.

The only house we have is filled with the dwindling warmth- the warmth that has harnessed your parents love for you. Perhaps when the day comes, you will be standing beside our empty bed like a ritual you mother had done thinking about you.

To our new found friends, my wife and I thank you dearly because your story has taught us how to live with life. And to all young people who feel their parents are a burden, please take a moment to reflect over the reminiscence of your younger days how you were loved by them.

No Child Is Too Ugly, No Parent Is Too Poor. This adage has all to tell how we should understand filial-piety.

Why “Two” Is A Beautiful Word?

I cannot think of anything that does not “take two” to complete as a whole. It takes two sexes to generate reproduction, it takes two to tango, it takes two hands to clap and I can continue with the “it takes two” to no end.

Beauty and adversity walk side by side, a king needs his jester, a damsel in distress waits for her knight in shinning armour, and politically, the ruling party has to face its opposition. These phrases do not have to mention the “two” yet they encompass the numerical reality.

Two is a beautiful number even in the anatomy (how you are going to perceive it to be, is entirely your prerogative) like the eyes for example.

To correlate this topic, I would rather touch a little on the coming by-election in Hulu Selangor. We will be seeing two giants at each other throat and if any spoil spot (Independent candidate) comes along, which is a crowd, it will be wiped out with the deposit vanishing in the air.

It will be interesting to see how one washes the other dirty linens in the “ceramahs” while the other half of the two is trying to clean up the dirty linens with detergent of politics in order to stay viable.

What a mess it will be when two “ceramahs” are held at the same vicinity by two taunting parties. So, you and I (again two) will be having a tough time lending them our two ears to listen at two different directions!

We go and return from the “ceramahs” (again two physical actions) listen and get angry (two emotional exertions) discuss with friends and argue (two verbal efforts) and all ends in anxiety that can sum up in two words – Barisan Nasional or Parkatan Rakyat to win in the by-election!

Watch this humorous video clip about the “two things” we do and I am sure you will agree with me that “two” is really a beautiful word!

Hilarity Of Romance

Tonight, I have the mood to write about romance (too much anger about politics is a vexation to one’s health).

How humdrum life will be without a touch of romance to spice up our life. Be it a world of fantasy or down to earth, everyone has something to say about romance.

Some may want it to be cynical, meaningful, sad, cute or even funny, it does not matter because it is a matter of interpretations.

Romance is the passion we feel a need to share the time with someone and naturally leaves the excitement to bring about a relationship.

Once the feelings, one has for another are reciprocated, the intensity is inflamed for physical closeness. The touch, smell, caresses and the encasing of two human bodies will send the high-octane passion till kingdom come.

A romantic getaway for the weekend just for two is a genuine desire wanting to be left alone to enjoy each other company.

The beauty is in the whispers of sweet nothing when the utterance of pleasure has found its way into the ears.

In the lighter veins of romance, this is what whispering sweet nothing is about.

My love is written with my own blood so you know it comes straight from my heart. (Sounds a little eerie but music to the ears).

Every night I talk to the stars pretending it is you who are so far away and now I have you in my arms. (A romantic wacko who cannot estimate distance).

I cry the time that you almost left for another and my soul dies for you. (Then, how the heck you are still around?)

Even my last teardrop falls I will still stand tall. (This one sucks).

My eyes cry for you, my empty arms reach out for you. (If romance is going to be so difficult, it is better to be anointed as a monk or nun).

We can’t help it could we? Any word spontaneously whispered at the very moment of ecstasy, it excites the lustrous moment and allow sanity to evaporate into the night.

Even at the brink of collapse, the silent tension will fill the serenity of the night and to be caressed by the jealous breeze sneaking into the privacy.

This is the language of romance which requires no tutorial. It is innate and primordial in the romantic sense.

And if anyone is at the crossroad of uncertainty, sit up and remember what whispering sweet nothing is about and unshackle what has frozen inside you.

Let yourself free like a bird who knows no bound and be intrigued by your own imagination!

Well, if you agree with me, tell your friends. And if you don’t (don’t tell me) otherwise you are a nut!

Don’t take what I have written too seriously but for mere hilarity!

RAKYAT BANTAH GST
GAGALKAN SEBELUM TERLAMBAT

TARIKH : 1 MEI 2010
MASA : 10.00 AM
TEMPAT: DATARAN MERDEKA ( PERHIMPUNAN & PERARAKAN)
When the name Nostradamus (Michael de Nostredame, December 14, 1503 – July 1, 1566) is mentioned, many know who he is. His prophecies of the future that of annihilation affecting the human beings have come true.

What 2012 holds for the homo-sapiens? Nostradamus predicted that major wars and disasters will happen around this time - to be precise December 21st 2012 – the end of the world?

The frightening fact is that the Mayan calendar ends on this date and year, and many contemporary doomsday believers conveniently use this date to match their own prophecy.

Nostradamus a Frenchman, and the Mayan, the Mexican natives are living in a world apart. How could they come to the same conclusion of this new millennium apocalypse? It is a coincidence perhaps! I beg to differ because I believe that a significant astronomical event will occur and to what magnitude will be beyond our imagination.

What we are experiencing now from the various catastrophes are not far from the dreaded truth. In the different parts of the world, emerged the wrath of Mother Nature. If we are going to take these signs for granted then we have no one to blame except our own species.

However, where are the believers of the millennium apocalypse going to go when the time comes? Perhaps it is better to go to another realm away from Earth to start living life again.

Psst… come June 2010 (this year mind you), the world shares market will crash and it is going to start in New York. People will have no more tears to cry except “blood” oozing from their eyes.

Anytime this year, snow will melt in the North Pole and flood will be everywhere. We will not have enough clean water to drink.

If we are lucky, we will not be hit so fast and badly but can we escape from 2012?

So to all the ugly politicians who have squandered and still squandering the country’s wealth, you will be swimming in the “ringgit” when the time comes. For people who are not in your “league”, they will be looking down from above and rolling on the ground laughing themselves silly.

Where will you be going with all the “wang ringgit” when neither heaven nor hell wants you?
