CJ Retreat at Port Dickson (25-27 June 2010)

The night, on the day of arrival at NUBE, Port Dickson, Arvin and Amde went for crab catching. Their second attempt later that night had paid off.

The football enthusiasts gathered at the lobby for the World Cup live-telecast.

The kitchen staff were kind enough to be interviewed including the guard.

The congregation at Port Dickson saw CJs from East Malaysia, Penang, Ipoh, Pahang and Klang Valley.

The participating CJs had their say about their involvolvement todate.

The discussions kicked off and the participants gave their opinions and how they perceived CJ's work to be, and what were expected from the code of ethics.

As usual, lunch break was filled with discussions in lighter veins.

The day ended and participants had a clear understanding of what were expected of them in the course of assignments.

BEWARE! Pulau Redang and Pulau Perhentian

I received this information from a friend sent to my e-mail.

I stayed in Pulau Redang and Pulau Perhentian in Terengganu for 2 weeks due to my research there. I observed a lot of things done by the local youngsters to the ladies visiting.

The VICTIMS were those who came alone or with groups of girls only; most of them came with one female friend.

The youths acted as drivers of the boats for the resorts but they select the lone or girls victims mostly the dumb Chinese girls and western ladies.

But if the girls were accompanied by guys, they will not dare to touch them. When they reached the snorkeling area, they will ‘HELP’ the ladies by holding their hands to snorkel here and there.

Most of the Chinese ladies wear exposed and sexy swimwear and they will peep at their nipples and underwear from behind.

The worst part was they bring along their local friends to join the club, to get one or two victims everyday. They gathered on the jetty looking at their prey.

Then, they will guide the girls to plastic containers with fresh water to wash up, sometimes trying to ‘help’ them by touching their body parts. They girls thought they were friendly and helpful but they have other intentions.

After the girls had finished cleaning up, the locals will hand them mineral water (with something inside), for the girls to drink. It happened everyday and I am watching it everyday.

Then the girls will allow these boys to hold their hands and walk to the boats and finally end up in the rooms with the other local ‘friends’ following behind ‘TO JOIN THE PARTY’.

Sometimes they will ask the ladies if they would like to have some sun block cream. Then they will apply some on their skin. Once, to my surprise a lady exposed her breasts and let them fondle her.

Then I knew what they applied was actually the ‘Minyak Dagu or Corpse Oil’, a type of ‘Jampi or Curse Oil’ that will make girls lose inhibitions and fall into a trance-like state.

They kissed her and she was brought to the room. Please remember that in Terengganu state, black magic is strong over there.

Remember, I observed them for 2 weeks but could not stop them. They had many friends around and if I questioned them, I would be in trouble…over there. I hope every lady takes precautions regarding this matter and warn everyone.

Don’t be too friendly with the drivers and their friends and be careful not to be taken advantage off. I was so frustrated because the girls were so dumb to trust them. I asked one of the victims and she said she didn’t remember anything but she said she had a DREAM in which she had sex with the locals.

My story is true. Beware when you’re going out snorkeling especially ladies & girls.

Boatmen would drug the mineral water when you are busy snorkeling. Later, when you get back on the boat and pass out after drinking the water you will be molested or raped.

There is insufficient evidence to prosecute them because they cleverly do their job including dressing up the victim nicely & don’t leave any traces as they even ejaculate externally.

When the victims awakened they were told they had a short nap. Salt water further makes it difficult for them to discover semen traces, sexually-transmitted diseases or HIV virus until perhaps much later.

This happened in Pulau Tioman and other places. Victims include Italian, American, Japanese, Chinese, Arabian & even Malays.

A Sabahan Girl Speaks Her Mind

She loves her country and is concerned about what has become to the state which is known as the - The Land Below the Wind.

Her articulation is concise and to speak her mind about how she feels is laudable. This is the generation of Malaysians that is badly needed to help make Malaysia a better country for all.

It is with fervent hope that more young people will speak up especially from East Malaysia.

Thank you, whoever you are. You are a darling!

Do You Want To Be Me

This is the first response received from Mrs.Evelyne Tai from Kelantan, dated 21 June 2010 in my e-mail.

She agreed to my contemplation of making true experience with the unexplained into a video clip. However, to interview her first and edit the enacted scene into the video faces a problem – the distance. Anyway, here is her story.

“I was born with a gift – a third eye” This was her gambit in the short article she wrote to me. One of her two teen-age daughters “inherited” her gift and it was a harrowing experience for her, especially at her age.

Evelyne was not that lucky like her daughter. The unprecedented encounters Evelyne had, no one could understand her, except to frown upon her as a “cursed” child. She skipped school whenever she saw “someone” waiting for her outside her house, or when she saw a “mummified figure” sitting in the bus she was taking.

It took her parents many years and spending a lot of money to consult “experts” but to no avail.

Evelyne had to learn to live with her “problems” and with the support of her parents and siblings she managed to come in term with her sighting.

This is one of her experiences and I believe that she had experienced looking into another dimension. Evelyne remembered that she was twelve years old then, she had uncannily looked into the other side.

While playing badminton with her brother in the backyard, the shuttlecock was hit over to their neighbour’s compound.

When she climbed up the fence looking for the shuttlecock, she saw a couple of old farmers looking at her. Shocked, she screamed for her brother and jumped down from the fence. When Evelyne and her brother took a look over the fence, there was nothing unusual except what could be seen in the neighbour’s backyard.

They ran into the house and related the incident to their mother who took what had happened seriously yet calmly.

I guess, the old farmers could be as shocked as Evelyne because her face appeared from nowhere while they were at work. Who knows, they could be curving a stone face similar to Evelyne and started worshipping her in their dimension!

She might be mistaken to be a fairy or whatever deemed fit in their dimension to take Evelyne to be.

From The Mouth of ISA Detainees

Pudu Prison - Ashes To Ashes

The annihilation of a hundred and fifteen-year old Pudu Prison had finally been” laid to rest” in the hands of greed.

When Pudu Prison was built, it was in the backwater of Pudu where people dreaded to go near. Development had cheated its birthright and today it is blamed as an eye-sore to stand in the heart of the city.

The sadness is not only for the building but also the way its history has been yanked from its roots.

We hear about endangered species and today we are seeing endangered heritage disappearing steadily. Will Pudu Prison be the threshold for more historical sites and buildings to suffer the same fate? If we allow them to happen, they will!

A stone’s throw from Pudu Prison stands Stadium Merdeka. Will its day be numbered so to Stadium Negara? The thought of it sends jitters down my spine.

Saying Good-bye To Pudu Prison

The 20th. June 2010 saw a handful of concerned citizens gathered at the main entrance of Pudu Prison to bid their final farewell.

The historical building, which is a Malaysian heritage will go Humpty-Dumpty tonight (21 June). Once the building is torn asunder only rubbles are left to tell a centenary old stories.

The bottom line is that we have a careless government who does not understand history and what heritage is all about.

The following clips will tell the story of what happened last night to comenmmorate with the final good-bye.

Why MCA?

Why MCA, after 51 years of independence your own race, is treated like
second class citizen?

Why MCA, after more than 50 years of supporting the Alliance/BN, your own race appears to have to beg to get a scholarship?

Why MCA, after more than half a century being part of the ruling government, many of your own race do not see they have a future inMalaysia?

Why MCA, despite being a partner in the BN, when a man said,'bathe the keris in Chinese blood' MCA still wants to support that man?

Why MCA, after so many years of being treated like irrelevant, MCA still cannot make the move to prove to your own race that MCA is'alive and kicking' and still relevant?

Why MCA, despite your ancestors having been in this country hundreds of years earlier than others, your own race are called 'Squatters/pendatang'?

Why MCA, despite knowing that the NEP is obsolete and had benefitedonly a few, MCA does not have the bravery to stand up and say, 'If theNEP is not dismantled, MCA will quit'?

Why MCA, you cannot work with people of your own race for the benefitof every race in the country, but choose to work with a party which isusing race to create fear among your own race?

Why MCA, even after 51 years of independence you can be so blind, to the extent of not being able to see where your own race is heading to?

Why MCA, you are still so obsessed to keep the status quo within the government, despite having very few of your own race in the army, police, petronas, GLC, TNB, govt dept, etc etc etc?

Why MCA, for how much longer are you going to hang around a government which dares to do whatever it wants, whenever it wants and which ever way it wants with or without you around?

Why MCA, are you going to wait until your own race becomes 5% of the total population, before you can get your act together?

Why MCA, when the writing is so clear on the wall, you are still not able to sing
the song 'Why_MCA'?

Four Down And More To Come?

It is just unbelievable to learn that not only Datuk Chua Jui Ming has to suffer the injustice of having his Datuk Seri title revoked by the Sultan of Johor but also the other three recipients.

What our country has become is just sickening.

I beg to defer with many of the comments written by sympathetic readers telling Datuk Chua to return what is no more his. It is a practical suggestion but without knowing why is really painful.

The way how Datuk Chua handles the situation is important to keep his self-esteem and dignity harnessed at the same time. He earned the award and is definitely painful to part with it.

If the award is bought and the recipient has to return, it is just the money lost. But the sad case is through one’s contribution for the nation that comes to nothing!

The most important of all is that the mentioned recipients have their rights to know the reason why they are subjugated by such injustice. It is not a matter about the prerogative of the sultan but his reputation to be just in his revocation.

So, to Datuk Chua Jui Ming, Sharifah Mazlina Syed Abdul Kadir, Shaftdean Lufty Rusland and Hassan Yunos, we fellow Malaysians understand your predicament and the best thing to do is to comply and move on.

Such unfortunately incident really leaves a bad taste for the country and for the rakyat to come out with more snide remarks.

I Had Uncannily Slipped Into The Beyond

Planet Earth is surrounded by umpteen mysteries where the impossible do happen. And because we do not understand why they existed then fear becomes the factor to manipulate our thoughts allowing superstitions to prevail.

I am not into the mood to talk about the unknown dimension on libido but the unexplained because on a few occasions they had scared the hell out of me!

Ghost, haunting, paranormal and even sighting are common but many of us chose not to talk about them or to find out why they happened but to opt for superstitious practices instead.

When fiction becomes fact and when dreams can blend with reality, should we consult the medium or call for agent Mulder to unfold the mysteries?

Movies made the most out of such tales and undoubtedly some were from true experiences yet sceptics are bound to laugh their heads off to such hocus-pocus.

There are various versions about ghosts and the afterlife. If there are ghosts or “runaway” souls then such existence need to be proven before determining that a house or location is haunted or a person is possessed for the matter. It is too subjective a topic I guess.

As I know there are no ghost hunters in Malaysia but in Singapore perhaps. My encounters have not made me courageous enough to be a ghost hunter. I am not in this fraternity of intellectual and pioneering phenomenal seekers to explore locations notoriously known to be haunted with all the sophisticated equipment to make contact.

Many people had experienced different and unexplained sightings of weird creatures that not only could be seen at night but also in the day time. Some of us have hyper-sensitive intuition and could literally feel how near “the thing” is to us. And those with an active “third eye” they could see the apparition!

I am like those who have strong intuition and fortunately without an active “third eye” otherwise I could end up to be a ghost whisperer or medium.

As I aged, the unexplained followed me no matter where I lived. I have not experienced seeing ghostly apparition but could feel its whereabouts somehow.

Twice in my sixty years of life, I had the most astonishing experience because I had uncannily walked into the other dimension! Laugh or be cynical if you wish but I just don’t care because you are not me. My first experience was in 1986.

Let me share with you my latest “one step beyond” that happened on the early dawn on the 4th. June 2010.

We went our separate ways from Selayang after our usual gathering and I felt hungry. It was about 2,30 a.m. 4th.June 2010. I turned into Jalan Kucing heading towards Pudu for my “teohchiew” porridge.

As I reached the junction of the flyover leading to Segambut on the left and Jalan Duta, suddenly I could see nothing but total darkness. I flicked on my headlight hoping to catch some cat-eyes on the road but in vain.

Then, my car wobbled and my steering was pulled to the left. That moment, a puncture of my front left tyre came into my mind. I pulled my car to the left and I activated my emergency light.

I pulled out the “Rescue Care” card that was kept behind the sunshade. I remembered vividly that I alighted from my car and lit a cigarette and got to work on my hand-phone.

The next thing I remembered was jacking up the front of my car in an unfamiliar ambience. I was about thirty yards from a T-junction where a couple was standing looking at what I was doing.

I spoke to them and knew that they were waiting for a bus. Nothing spooky and I did not ask where the place was and who they were. Nothing crossed my mind!

The next instance, a Malay man on a motor-cycle asked me what I was doing and I replied that I was calling for emergency help with my hand-phone still in my palm. At this point of time, I was standing beside my car at the driver’s side.

He told me that from the distance behind my car he already saw me standing like I was lost in the world of my own. Then immediately the thought came to my mind that I was jacking up my car but not standing beside it. I told him what I was doing and I guessed he must be wondering what I said did not collaborate with where I was standing.

I thanked him and he sped off.

I knew I had not kept my car jack and with the help from the light beaming from my hand-phone, there was nothing at the front of my car and there was no puncture.

Yes, I was confused and could not think straight. Spontaneously, I got into the car and drove off. It was the moment that fear became overwhelming and my right leg on the accelerator began to shiver making the car punctuated along the way.

I don’t do drugs nor am I an alcoholic drinker. I only indulge in tobacco. So, hallucination is out of question.

Slowly, I managed to be composed and took a U-turn at Bank Negara and kept following a car in front going back to the direction where I came from at the speed of 110.

If I am asked to describe the couple now, the best I could is to state that they were humans. I could not decipher their race and what language we used to speak to each other. I realized now that it was through telepathy that our conversation took place on that fateful night.

Now I am contemplating to enact the scene and document it as a gambit to my intended spooky column – A Date With The Unexplained.

Deep inside me I know that I am not alone and many out there do somehow or rather had their own experiences. I like to hear your amazing stories if you are willing to share and enhance them with enacted scenes.

If you have uncanny experiences and want to share your intriguing yet mind-boggling moments, please write to: strauslite@yahoo.com

Anti Israel Protest

The 4th of June 2010 saw an approximate crowd of three thousand strong walked from Kampung Baru to Jalan Ampang where the American Embassy is.

The video clips are the evidence to prove that no matter what is the size of the protesting crowd will be,it is always peaceful.

It is all about sheer common sense to state that when the police is helping out to direct the traffic, no matter what the crowd size is and how far the people want to walk, it will be over in a matter of hours.

In less than three hours, the protesters dispersed peacefully because intimidations and "inplanted" trouble makers are missing.

Common sense should prevail so to speak and this should be learnt by those who wail the power!

Straight A's To Nowhere

Year in and year out we are seeing young and bright students are left in the limbo after their SPM year. With excellent results yet being deprived a place for tertiary learning is indeed painful.

Meritocracy is the devil in disguise for those from poor families. In short, meritocracy has given the false hope to Malaysians. We are seeing this for years where education has moved in tandem with politics without a level playing field.

Intelligent students are deprived of their rightful places for tertiary education while those who performed below the expected level are given the privileges instead.

When politics is allowed to sneak into the education system, the country will suffer from brain-drain rather than brain-gain. Despite knowing the fact, yet the government allows the rot to continue.

I believe that the quality of education today is significantly lower than it was way back in the sixties. Those days, students were encouraged to excel but today, we see “dummies” are churned out from our local universities. Those who have made their grades through sheer hard work and intelligence become marketable but the other so-called graduates are left half-baked and nowhere to go.

My consolation to students who have become the victims of meritocracy is to recapitulate what I had written last year.

In our country, people work hard and pay their taxes, even though endless. It is with a hope that such taxes can be intelligently ploughed back to sustain the economy and with the manageable cost of living to take the burden off the wage earners shoulders. But, it turns out not only otherwise but also chaotic through wanton mismanagement.

This is where the government has failed us to the core.

People work hard, play by the rules but when they need help, “they” give you the rope to hang yourself. Uncountable smart students are deprived of their tertiary education and their parents are left in the lurch because they don’t have the financial means. On the other hand, those who are not qualified are fed with privileges down their throats.

This is where the people should wake up and know where they stand.

So, why must people choose to be in slumber when you have all the means to vote the present government out for good!
